Popular light novel series “Reincarnated as a Dragon Hatchling” is being adapted into a TV anime! The adaptation was officially announced on March 14, 2025, with a stunning teaser visual featuring our protagonist Illusia cracking out of his egg and ready for adventure.

Story Overview
In a dangerous fantasy world filled with terrifying beasts and monsters, our hero awakens to find himself reincarnated not as a powerful warrior or mage, but as a helpless dragon egg.
Stranded in an unfamiliar forest with no memory of his past life, Illusia must navigate this perilous new existence, starting from the very beginning of the food chain. With determination and courage, he sets out to grow stronger, aiming to become the mightiest dragon in this treacherous world.

The light novel series, written by Nekoko with illustrations by Naji Yanagida, originally began as a web novel on Shosetsuka ni Naro in August 2015.
It has since been published in physical volumes and adapted into a manga series illustrated by RIO. The manga has been serialized into eight volumes as of January 2025.
