The popular light novel and manga series “In a World Full of Zombies I’m the Only One Who Doesn’t Get Attacked” (Japanese title: Zonbi no Afureta Sekai de Ore Dake ga Osowarenai) has officially been confirmed for a anime adaptation scheduled to premiere in 2026.
About the Series
Originally starting as a web novel on the user-generated publishing website Shōsetsuka ni Narō in January 2013, the series was later acquired by Frontier Works and published as light novels under their Nox Novels imprint beginning in February 2016. The story has since gained tremendous popularity, with the manga adaptation achieving an impressive 8.5 million downloads in Japan.
The plot follows Yuusuke Takemura, an antisocial former office worker whose life is dramatically transformed when the world suddenly becomes infested with zombies. What makes Takemura unique is that he’s mysteriously immune to zombie attacks.
With his signature attitude of “Helping others? Forget it. I’m going to live in this world freely,” Takemura navigates this apocalyptic landscape while hiding his unusual immunity.
