Creator Comments

Yu Shimizu, the original story writer, expressed his excitement about the adaptation: “This work is packed with all the fun memories of playing TRPGs during my school days”. Illustrator Makoto Aogiri shared his enthusiasm:

“I’ve always dreamed of Isekai Munchkin becoming an anime. When my editor contacted me to say ‘the anime adaptation has been decided,’ I was so shocked that I kept saying, ‘Really?!’ repeatedly”.

While a specific release date has not yet been announced, fans can look forward to seeing Yukito’s unique adventure come to life on screen. The adaptation promises to bring the manga’s distinctive blend of isekai fantasy and TRPG elements to animation, with its tagline “Swords, Magic, and Random Numbers” setting the tone for what’s to come.
