The highly anticipated anime adaptation of the popular light novel series Mushoku no Eiyu: Betsu ni Sukiru Nanka Iranakattan da ga (Unemployed Hero: Who Even Needs Skills?!) has been announced for a 2025 broadcast.
This fantasy series, which follows the journey of a boy branded as “unemployed” in a world where everyone receives a divine class and skills at the age of ten, is set to captivate anime fans worldwide.
The Story Behind the Unemployed Hero

In a world where the goddess bestows each person with a specific class and skills on their tenth birthday, determining their future and social standing, young Aller faces an unprecedented challenge, he receives no class and no skills whatsoever.
Born to legendary figures Sword Princess Farah and Archmage Leon, Aller’s lack of divine blessing initially disappoints those around him.
Despite this setback, Aller embraces hard work and determination, training relentlessly to carve out his own path and eventually becoming known as the “unemployed hero.”
Kensho Ono Brings Aller to Life

Renowned voice actor Kensho Ono has been cast as the protagonist Aller. Ono, whose impressive resume includes roles in SpyxFamily, BLUE LOCK, and JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, brings his distinctive vocal talents to this underdog hero.
In an official comment, Ono expressed his admiration for Aller’s character, stating,
“It would not be surprising if he were in despair, but he overcomes this situation with hard work, and I found him so charming that I ended up reading the original manga in one go.
I will do my best to portray his charm in the anime!”
