The first season of Mission: Yozakura Family concluded on the same day as the second season announcement, with its 27th and final episode airing on Sunday

The series made its debut on April 7, 2024, broadcasting across MBS, TBS, and 26 of their affiliate channels in Japan

Plot Overview

The anime follows the story of Taiyou Asano, a high school student struggling with social interactions after losing his family in a car crash. His life takes an unexpected turn when he becomes involved with the Yozakura family, led by his childhood friend Mutsumi Yozakura, To protect himself from Mutsumi’s overprotective and dangerous older brother, Kyouichirou, Taiyou must marry Mutsumi and join the Yozakura family of spies

Production Team

The first season was helmed by director Mirai Minato, known for works such as “Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya” and “BOFURI: I Don’t Want to Get Hurt, so I’ll Max Out My Defense”

Mizuki Takahashi served as the character designer and chief animation director, while Kōji Fujimoto and Osamu Sasaki composed the music

The original manga by Hitsuji Gondaira has been running in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine since August 2019
